As an artist, her life on the move continued from Brooklyn to Nashville, and her latest album, Desert Dove, was recorded in California. It’s a country record with nods to indie rock and honky-tonk, and today, we’ll hear the songs performed live. Plus, Michaela shares stories behind the music and why she’s fascinated with the human voice. On an encore edition of the World Cafe, with host Raina Douris.
