Joan Shelley Joins Host Stephen Kallao on the Next World Cafe – Tuesday at 2pm

joanpr wideJoan Shelley is a proud Kentucky native, but she looked for inspiration far from home in making her new album, Like the River Loves the Sea. Along with her musical partner, Nathan Salsburg, she traveled to Iceland to record – There they found a wonderful string section, but absolutely no banjos on the island, much to Joan’s disappointment. We’ll hear all about the experience in her conversation with host Stephen Kallao today. And she performs a set of her beautiful new songs before a live audience.
