Today kicks off an entire week of World Cafe in London! First, it’s a weird and wonderful piece of the city’s history – George Frideric Handel, who wrote Messiah, and Jimi Hendrix would have been next-door neighbors in London if they had been alive at the same time. Both of their former flats have been recreated and turned into a museum, and host Talia Schlanger takes the tour today. Plus, we’ll hear live performances from an indie rock band that’s about to break through, they’re called Sea Girls. That’s coming up, on this Sense of Place edition of World Cafe in London.
World Cafe airs weekdays at 2:00 pm on KRCB-FM Radio 91 / streaming @ norcalpublicmedia.org / Listen live on-the-go with the FREE KRCB Mobile App from the App Store & Google Play.
