We’ll listen back to his live performance, including a song he wrote for his wife, fiddle player Amanda Shires. Then in the second hour, stick around for rap duo Run The Jewels, whose 2020 album RTJ4 couldn’t have been more timely. They stopped by the Cafe to talk about their music exploring issues of police brutality and racial tension, and we’ll hear the story of how Mavis Staples ended up on the record.
