An Encore Session with Yola and Talia Schlanger on World Cafe – Monday at 2pm

WorldCafe Primary Red cmykBritish musician Yola describes her life as a series of ups and downs – being homeless one day and getting compliments from James Brown the next. She joins host Talia Schlanger to share her story, and we’ll hear a live studio performance of songs from her album, which was produced by Dan Auerbach. In the second hour, named “the future of blues” by Rolling Stone magazine, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram has a lot to live up to. We’ll hear songs from his debut album, with guest appearances from Buddy Guy and Keb Mo, and he’ll speak with host Stephen Kallao about his rise to fame at only 20 years old.
