Bluegrass All-Star Billy Strings Joins Kallao on World Cafe – Thursday at 2pm

Bluegrass all-star Billy Strings grew up playing in the traditional style of Bill Monroe and The Stanley Brothers – But then he discovered his own sound. Billy fuses bluegrass with psych-rock, country, and jam music, without fussing over what bluegrass “should be”. It’s also part of what makes his live shows so exciting. We’ll hear one of those live performances today, and Billy joins host Stephen Kallao from his home in Nashville to talk about music, fishing, and fixing up his old Chevy. That’s coming up, on the next World Cafe.
