Just before Leif Vollebekk released his 2017 album Twin Solitude, he thought it might be his last…He felt like he wasn’t reaching an audience or having fun anymore. But then the record was nominated for the Polaris Music Prize and his shows started to fill up. Three years later, he’s still making music. Today, we’ll hear songs from his new album, New Ways, performed live. And we’ll find out what it’s like to see music – Leif has a condition called synesthesia where sound is tied to color. That’s coming up, on the next World Cafe with host Raina Douris.
World Cafe airs weekdays at 2:00 pm on KRCB-FM Radio 91 / streaming @ norcalpublicmedia.org / Listen live on-the-go with the FREE KRCB Mobile App! Download it today for your favorite mobile device.
