At the release of Great Grandpa's first album, they all lived in the same Seattle apartment, and owed their sound in part to that city's roots in the Grunge movement of the 90's. Since then, two of the members of the band Carrie and Pat Goodwin had moved to Milwaukee, while the rest stayed in Seattle. That distance forced the band to stretch their sound, and that shows on their latest album Four of Arrows, which they lovingly describe as "snack rock." The band perform songs off that album live in studio, on the next World Cafe.
