The release of Run the Jewels' brand new album RTJ4 couldn't have been more timely. Both catchy and thought-provoking, the songs criticize systems of oppression and have become a soundtrack for many protesters during this time of civil unrest. But these themes aren’t new for the rap duo of Killer Mike and EL-P, who've spent years exploring issues of police brutality and racial tension in their music. Today, they join host Raina Douris, sharing what it’s like to be part of this moment in history, about their friendship, and about the record, which features guests like Mavis Staples and Pharrell Williams.
