Today, host Stephen Kallao is joined by blues royalty – It’s Cedric Burnside. He grew up in Benton County in rural Mississippi, where he was raised by his grandfather, the late bluesman, R.L. Burnside. We’ll hear about his childhood, living with his granddad in a sharecroppers’ house with no running water, and how that environment shaped his latest album, Benton County Relic. Cedric Burnside brings his modern hill country blues to the World Cafe studio, live.
