Latino USA is the foremost Latino voice in public media and the longest running Latino-centered program on radio. As the only program on NPR with a dedicated focus on America's Latino community, Latino USA gives voice to the New Mainstream.
Since 1992, Futuro Media Group's Latino USA has brought depth of experience, on-the-ground connections and knowledge of current and emerging issues impacting Latinos and other people of color. Latino USA reports stories about diversity, culture, civic dialogue and how people live and struggle with difference.
Latino USA celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2013, and its stories continue to illuminate how we live today. Latino USA combines high-quality news, cultural and public affairs journalism with compelling sound to bring a rich understanding of the Latino experience to a wide spectrum of listeners.
With such a rich history, the time is right for Latino USA to grow. On September 6, 2013, Latino USA expanded in length to an hour. The new Latino USA is fast-paced, lively and smart with varied points of view and writing designed for the busy weekend NPR listener. As it has always done, it chronicles how Latinos are living, shaping and changing America.

Maria Hinojosa is an award-winning news anchor and reporter for PBS and NPR, who covers America’s untold stories and highlights today’s critical issues. As the anchor and executive producer of long-running weekly NPR show Latino USA, and anchor for PBS’ NEED TO KNOW series and the talk show Maria Hinojosa: One-on-One from WGBH/La Plaza, she has informed millions about the changing cultural and political landscape in America and abroad. In her over 25 years as a journalist, she also worked for CNN, and was a senior correspondent at NOW on PBS.

Eric Cullen, aka "Ric", is a musician and music lover who was raised on FM radio, Beethoven, the Carter Family, and Frank Zappa. Born in San Diego, he moved to Sonoma County in 1989 to attend Sonoma State University, earning his b.a. in music in 1991. Since then, he has played in many local bands: Freeloaders, the Vallejo Street Band, Joe Chaplain Band, among many others. He currently plays in Amphora, an all-instrumental smooth and Latin jazz combo. He has also recorded a dozen solo albums and owned or co-owned three independent record labels. His involvement at KRCB is a natural extension of his total love of all aspects of music, from creator, to showman, to fan.

KRCB is pleased to present Travel with Rick Steves. A lively mix of guest interviews and listener calls, Travel with Rick Steves goes beyond the Europe that Mr. Steves is famous for, with shows covering travel and cultures across every continent.

The author of 30 travel guidebooks and longtime host of the "Rick Steves' Europe" TV series, Steves was attracted to radio because of its ability to interact with listeners in ways that TV cannot.

"Radio provides a virtual café for travelers to meet up, sharing tips, insights and discoveries," says Steves. "On my radio show, rather than being the tour guide, as I am on TV, I get to host the coming together of experts on various cultures and travel themes with our callers and listeners. Serving as the conduit for all this exciting travel information comes with a downside: now I want to travel everywhere our radio show does.”
