eTown is an exciting weekly radio show that’s been on the air from coast to coast for 21 years. Unlike any other program, eTown mixes live music from top performers in a wide variety of styles with conversation and information about our communities, our environment and common sense stewardship. Every eTown show is full of great music, and the musicians get a chance to open up during interviews with host, Nick Forster. The weekly presentation of the E-chievement Award highlights hometown heroes from around the country, each one taking small steps towards solving big problems. It all comes together with the grand finale with all musicians joining together in one last song.

eTown’s mission is to educate, entertain and inspire a diverse audience, through music and conversation, to create a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable world.

Besides being the name of a great song by X, Beyond and Back is the title of my show on KRCB. I like to play a mix of old R&B, Soul, and soulful Country – and the modern groups that trace their roots back to this music. I also feature a geographic set each week, focusing on a different city and its particular musical culture. Beyond and Back also includes concert information, music-related news, and tributes to the bright lights of the musical world. Want to know how many bands have recorded songs by Leadbelly?
