Ric on the Radio
Eric Cullen, aka "Ric", is a musician and music lover who was raised on FM radio, Beethoven, the Carter Family and Frank Zappa. Born in San Diego, he moved to Sonoma County in 1989 to attend Sonoma State University, earning his b.a. in music in 1991. Since then, he has played in many local bands: Freeloaders, the Vallejo Street Band, Joe Chaplain Band, among many others. He currently plays in Amphora, an all-instrumental smooth and Latin jazz combo. He has also recorded a dozen solo albums and owned or co-owned three independent record labels. His involvement at KRCB is a natural extension of his total love of all aspects of music, from creator, to showman, to fan.
 

ric radioThis week's episode will be a mixed bag of styles and eras.

Because a CD can hold about twice as much recording as a 33rpm record, artists began including bonus tracks at the end of an album's running time, anything from studio outtakes to live recordings, failed experiments, alternate versions, non-album singles and rarities. In general, a whole lot of fun. Bob Marley, Gene Vincent, Santana, The Cars, Echo & the Bunnymen, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, The Soft Boys, Marvin Gaye, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Velvet Underground, Fleetwood Mac, The Who, The Stooges, Pretenders and more!
