Then when she actually did decide to make another record, it was rejected by her long-time label. Singer-songwriter Marissa Nadler puts an original twist on old school country. That twist has allowed her to step into broad musical territory over the past 15 years, like lending her vocals to black metal bands and recording a wealth of covers, from Elliott Smith to Radiohead. Her new solo album is called For My Crimes, and she stops by to perform live.
