Kazan’s films include The Big Sick, and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.  She’s the granddaughter of Elia Kazan who directed On the Waterfront and A Streetcar Named Desire, and who testified before Joseph McCarthy’s House Un-American Activities Committee in the 1950s.
