Escuchando a Roseland

Listening to Roseland

In 2020, for the first time, residents of the Roseland neighborhood in Santa Rosa will have the opportunity to vote for a city council member. The election in district one, which also includes the South Park neighborhood, promises to be chaotic, with dozens of candidates already declared or mulling a run. It will also determine how members of the Latinx community of Santa Rosa, and others in the district, will make their voices heard on the most important issues to city residents.
How will those issues come to the fore?
Our Deep Listening project, in collaboration with other community groups, will seek to find out, and lift up, what is important to the community in district one. We will encourage all eligible voters, and community members unable to vote, to make their voices heard.
