The Good Earth

The Napa Resource Conservation District's Charles Schembre is on a mission to sequester carbon in the ground of our vineyards. This practice keeps carbon from being released in the atmosphere, and makes the vines healthier and more resilient than chemical fertilizers. Renata Brillinger, from CalCAN (California Climate and Agriculture Network), explains the state's healthy soil initiative and California's goals to reduce greenhouse gasses to 40% below 1990 levels.
