In the Shadow of Tall Trees

Muir Woods National Monument and its uncut old-growth coast redwoods would not exist today were it not for the foresight of early conservationists. Theodore Roosevelt's signing of the Antiquities Act of 1906 empowered Roosevelt and subsequent presidents to protect National Monuments by proclamation. It is important to continue to protect national treasures, like Muir Woods, for future generations. (Producer-Director: Joshua Dylan Mellars)
