Fermentation Fever

Fermentation, an ancient form of food preservation, has been practiced on nearly every continent. Jennifer Harris, who runs the Fermentation Festival, takes a journey around Sonoma County to get to know some of the people who are helping to bring back this ancient art. Her trip includes visits to restaurant and fermentation bar SHED, the new production facility where Wildbrine makes its signature sauerkraut and kimchi, and independent and artisanal sourdough bakery Revolution Bread.
