As you drive through Sonoma County, you may have seen some fields with piles of grape vines that have been pulled out and stacked up to be removed. And you know, in all worlds, things go in cycles, but certainly in agriculture. And so people have begun to kind of worry what's going on. Well, of course, we read all about how the wine industry is going through all kinds of things. But here in Sonoma County, there's another dynamic and it's two parts.
One is that every 25 years or so, the vines need to be taken out and replaced by new vines. It's called agriculture. And the other is there's a new law that allows farmers to compost their agricultural material right on their property, which just seems so smart. They take care of things because it's going back into their earth and we love it. Saving Cinema, I'm Clark Wolf for KRCB.
