According to my phone, there is a Charente melon 19 miles away. It's important to know these things, especially if as I am this year obsessed with melons. They are so amazing and diverse these days that I can't even believe it. Of course, we have our famous crane melon. We have Tuscan melons. We have so many different Galia melon.
I mean, there's so many different things, but it brings me back to a trip I took many, many, many years ago where I was taken to a French restaurant, oddly in France. And there was a little melon and in it was a little rose, the same color as the dress of the lady I was with. Talk about respecting your food.
There are so many delicious melons to try and I urge you to try every single one.
