It's really wonderful to start thinking about the height of harvest of all sorts. And there was a time where here in Sonoma County we were home to the Heirloom Expo. They've moved on down the coast to another town and I think it's kind of great to share the wealth. But what it means is that some of our traditional celebrations have gone away and that means there's room for new ones.
So, I'm here to say, please look around in your town and in the town nearby, maybe even across the county and see what's going on in the community centers, in the school gardens, in the community gardens, in the farmers' markets, and beyond. Wineries, and every place to see what new gatherings and harvest celebrations are being planned for this year because it's been a glorious year for food, and we need to celebrate it and be together.
Savoring Sonoma, I'm Clark Wolf for KRCB.
