Peppers and cukes and melons. Oh my!
It's that time of the year and they don't always stick together. In fact, sometimes the cuke season ends before the pepper season really launches. But this year, I guess because I'm not scientist, but because of the slow, warm, cool, wonderful, long spring into long summer, we have a collection of food on every farmer's market table that is just gorgeous.
I can think of five, six, maybe seven kinds of cuke cucumbers that come to mind right now. And then there's an entire rainbow times 10 of peppers in every color and shape and heat. Don't forget heat. And then there are melons. What smells better than walking by a table of melons? Well, cutting one open and having a big bite. We have so much good food and this is a wonderful time to enjoy it. Savoring Sonoma, I'm Clark Wolf for KRCB.
