eTown is an exciting weekly radio show that’s been on the air from coast to coast for 21 years. Unlike any other program, eTown mixes live music from top performers in a wide variety of styles with conversation and information about our communities, our environment and common sense stewardship. Every eTown show is full of great music, and the musicians get a chance to open up during interviews with host, Nick Forster. The weekly presentation of the E-chievement Award highlights hometown heroes from around the country, each one taking small steps towards solving big problems. It all comes together with the grand finale with all musicians joining together in one last song.
eTown’s mission is to educate, entertain and inspire a diverse audience, through music and conversation, to create a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable world.

We’ve got a soulful hour of music and conversation this week on the airwaves featuring prolific soul singer/songwriter Bettye LaVette.

This week on eTown, we’re joined by singer/songwriter/producer John Paul White who originally joined us back in 2011 as part of the widely popular musical duo The Civil Wars.

It’s an eclectic encore broadcast this week as we revisit our show featuring hip-hop artist and community activist Brother Ali, who shares his unique take on rap music, as well as stories on his background, what it was like growing up with albinism, and his musical quest to spread a positive message through music.
