Is the trend here to stay?



The games take many forms and are designed to address a host of conditions: from asthma to diabetes, depression or stroke. In fact, your doctor may soon be suggesting health games as a way to improve your well being.

At the Center for Digital Games Research, at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Debra Lieberman studies what makes games engaging. When games are fun and motivating, she says, "they provide a challenge that really makes us think and learn to get better and more skillful. It's a perfect storm for engaging people and trying to learn along the way."
