Greetings!
This webpage is designed for the several of you participating in KRCB 104.9’s "Postcards" program. Thanks for being part of it!
Here’s what you do:
- Remember to SMILE when you talk.
- Click the green “Start Recording” button
- Tell us about something that is happening or recently happened.
- Start with "GREETINGS FROM _____ (your location)"
- End with "AND THATS A POSTCARD FROM _______. I'M _____ FROM___ (your organization) FOR KRCB.
When you’re finished, click “STOP”
You can click the Play button to review your recording.
Listen for bad P-popping, jangly jewelry, or background noises (cars, birds, pets, etc). See Anthony's pro audio tips.
Re-record, if necessary.
The overall length of your recording is not important, but make sure the part that you want us to use is between 55 and 65 seconds.
Click “Send” to deliver your recording… You'll be asked for a name and email.
For the name, just type the week number, underscore, and your coverage area (i.e. “02_Cloverdale”).
For email, use your email.
If you have more than one postcard to submit for a given area, simply add an a, b, or c after the week number (i.e. “02a_Cloverdale”).
The current week number is shown here:
The broadcast window for each week begins Sunday morning at midnight and ends at 11:59:59 pm on Saturday. If you feel a postcard can run past the 7-day window, we recommend recording a fresh postcard for each subsequent week, but not in place of fresher submissions (use a, b, c, etc.).
If you see a newsworthy item we should know about, please contact us at
If you have any questions, you can always contact me at
Thanks again for helping to build a great community radio station for Sonoma County on KRCB 104.9 FM.
Happy recording!
