Fred Stillman served 23 years in California prisons formurder. His daughter Jessica began visiting him there when she was only nineyears old. Filmmaker John Beck tells their story in his documentary InvisibleBars. He came to our studios with Stillman and his daughter Jessica – who worksin Santa Rosa. News director Steve Mencher asked Jessica why she was willing toshow intimate family moments with her dad, as he learned why he’d been violent,and how to show love to his family.
