There is no question that confronting climate change is a political challenge, says David Orr. But it is less about elections, and more about recreating a way of governance that rests on fairness and balance, rather than dominance and profits.

David Orr was a keynote speaker at Sonoma State’s second annual Sustainability Day Wednesday. He is also the author of the influential  books, The Nature of Design, Down to the Wire, and Hope is an Imperative." He chairs the Environmental Studies Department at Oberlin College.
