NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PUBLIC MEDIA, a Sonoma County-based public television and radio station organization, is looking for a Social Media Intern interested in gaining real-world experience while working to further the community connectivity activity of NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PUBLIC MEDIA. Candidates must be hard-working, possess strong online and offline communication skills and be able to work independently on projects under the direction of the Content Manager and FM Executive Assistant.
 
Duties include:
Maintain as active social media presence on social sites to increase visibility, build communities and drive engagement
Provide unique and authentic content in the form of written posts, images, video and audio
Assist in maintaining consistent brand messaging and organizational voice across all platforms
Support and protect NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PUBLIC MEDIA brands by ensuring positive, accurate, informative messaging is maintained and relevant to organizational goals
Monitor, track and report on discussion topics and online engagement opportunities
Other tasks, responsibilities and projects as needed
Requirements:
Current student of marketing, journalism, new media, communications or a related field of study
Adept at Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest and similar channels
Strong computer skills and attention to detail
Able to take direction and work in a collaborative dynamic atmosphere
Hard-working and entrepreneurial
