Northern California Public Media is seeking interns to assist with reporting and producing the news. The News Department presents a daily feature-length radio story about events mostly in the North Bay, as well as a quarterly television program called Connect the Bay about current affairs in the nine county Bay Area. Among our other projects is a podcast about Environmental Justice called Living Downstream and longer radio programs connected to important issues in the Bay Area. This is a great opportunity for someone with a journalism or strong writing background to gain professional journalism experience and add to their resume, getting hands-on practice in digital recording, editing and mixing of audio as well as possibly recording and editing video. We also approach the work of journalism in partnership with our community, and we are happy to share that approach with our interns and build upon their own contacts and interests.
