On the next Fresh Air, Terry Gross’ 1988 interview with astronaut Michael Collins. He was all alone in outer space, piloting the Apollo 11 command module while Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first men to walk on the moon.   He temporarily lost contact with them and ground control.  Collins died Wednesday, at age 90.  Join us.
