Professor Daniel Lieberman talks about some facts and myths about exercise. His latest book is called Exercised. Some of the questions he addresses include: is sitting the new smoking? Is it bad to slouch? Do you need 8 hours of sleep? Is walking effective for losing weight? Does running ruin your knees? He writes from his perspective as a paleoanthropologist. He’s a professor in the department of human evolutionary biology at Harvard. Lieberman also wrote The Evolution of the Human Head and The Story of the Human Body: Evolution, Health, and Disease.
