As he investigates the killing of casino-owner Antonio Tindari by Salvatore Frolo, whose wife and daughter were murdered some years earlier, Corrado comes into contact with Tano Cariddi, who is aiming with the aid of the Mafia, to gain control of a major insurance company. Cariddi also intends to marry Ester Rasi, the daughter of the company's incorruptible chairman. Cattani tries to dissuade Ester from marrying Cariddi, but when Cariddi blackmails her father, who is forced to commit suicide, Ester decides to stay with him to discover his secrets and get her revenge. Meanwhile, Cattani comes across evidence suggesting that Frolo's daughter is not dead after all.

The Reluctant Radical features activist Ken Ward as he confronts his fears and puts himself in the direct path of the fossil fuel industry to combat climate change. The film reveals both the personal costs and the fulfillment that comes from following one's moral calling. The film follows Ken through a series of direct actions, culminating with an action that shuts down all the US tar sands oil pipelines and threatens to put him behind bars for 20 years. Ken Ward has no regrets, and his certainty leaves the audience to consider if he is out of touch with reality or if it is the rest of society that is delusional for not acting when faced with the unsettling evidence that we are collectively destroying our world.

By making these photos available to the public, Barbara has created an open resource with the opportunity to engage with anyone who visits her site, visits the Virgin Islands and has a comment or question about the marine life they saw underwater. It is a direct way of engaging with the community at large.
