When the nominations for the 21st Annual Latin Grammys were announced earlier this week, we couldn't help but notice that a handful of the musicians have appeared on Alt.Latino. For this week's show, we revisit some of those interviews and play some music from these nominees:

  • Gina Chavez: best pop/rock album (La Que Manda)
  • Los Tigres del Norte: best norteño album (Los Tigres Del Norte At Folsom Prison), best long form music video (Los Tigres Del Norte At Folsom Prison)
  • Natalia Lafourcade: album of the year (Un Canto Por México, Vol. 1), best regional song ("Mi Religión"), best alternative song ("En Cantos")
  • Juanes: best pop vocal album (Más Futuro Que Pasado), best pop song ("Bonita"), song of the year ("Bonita")
  • Lido Pimienta: best alternative music album (Miss Colombia)
  • Orquesta Failde: best traditional tropical album (Failde Con Tumbao)
  • Gaby Moreno and Van Dyke Parks: best traditional pop vocal album (¡Spangled!)

Good luck to all of the Latin Grammy nominees! The awards will be telecast Nov. 19.
