Colombian musician Juanes turns inward in music and conversation on this week's show.
Omar Cruz/Courtesy of the artistFor over three decades, Colombia's Juanes has made music that fills stadiums. He's a musical ambassador and, along the way, has helped many up-and-coming artists from various countries find a place for themselves in the music business.
As he approaches 50, Juanes has made more self-reflective music lately. On this episode conducted via Zoom for the Latin Alternative Music Conference, Juanes reflects on lessons learned from the world-wide pandemic, how Latin music has changed in the last ten years and his love of Metallica and Bruce Springsteen. It's important to note that the interview took place before police killed George Floyd and the resulting demonstrations that have shaken up the world.
In a decade of conversations on Alt.Latino, including our very first episode, Juanes continues to be deep thinker. Here's to another decade with Juanes!
