It's time for our annual look back at the first six months of the year in music to see what has made the biggest impression so far.

But the first half of 2020 has been like no other.

There were stretches of time when talking about personal favorites felt frivolous, but we also found that music of all kinds has helped millions of people cope with this year's challenges.

So while we will look back on this episode, it will be through a lens of healing and inspiring change.
