Ballot counting continues throughout California, but where do things stand in the races to represent Sonoma County in Sacramento?
Sonoma County’s state level representation is split between five districts - two state Senate and three Assembly seats represent portions of the county.
Primaries were held in four of the five districts on Super Tuesday.
One of the night’s big winners has been Assembly member Damon Connolly.
"I will take the power of the people over big corporate interests, anytime. Am I right," Connolly said, speaking at an election night event for fellow Assembly candidate Chris Rogers.
Connolly looks set to cruise to a second term representing the 12th Assembly District covering Marin and the southern half of Sonoma County.
Cecilia Aguilar-Curry, who represents part of the Sonoma Valley in Assembly District 4, was unopposed.
The race for the 2nd Assembly seat - which covers northern Sonoma County, and all of Mendocino, Humboldt, Trinity, and Del Norte counties - remains up in the air.
So far it’s Del Norte Republican Mike Greer who’s emerged as the top vote getter in Tuesday’s election.
He said the result so far has been a bit of a surprise.
"Not a great surprise, but a little bit of one," Greer said. "But I'm like everybody else saying, gee, I really thought I'd get more votes."
The Democratic candidate field in District 2 is split between six different candidates. Still leading the pack of Democrats as of Wednesday afternoon, Santa Rosa council member Chris Rogers.
"As we were talking to folks in Sacramento, every single conversation would start off with, well, why don't you tell us why you're going to win?" Rogers said to a crowd of supporters around 8:45 PM on election night. "It was never 'tell us what you want to do. Tell us why you think you'd be the best for the job.' And I would tell them over and over and over again, because of the people who live in this district who have been through so much and shown so much resiliency, they deserve a voice and they're gonna show up and they're gonna vote."
Still close behind Rogers is Rusty Hicks.
The Arcata based California Democratic Party Chair has the backing of Governor Gavin Newsom and outgoing Assembly member Jim Wood, but so far, is trailing Rogers in the vote count.
Also up in the air is the race to replace State Senator Bill Dodd in the 3rd District, which represents Rohnert Park, Petaluma, and the City of Sonoma.
So far it's Republican candidate Thom Bogue who leads the field overall.
Former West Sacramento Mayor Chris Cabaldon is the leading Democrat in the race, holding sizeable advantages over Vallejo council member Rozzana Verder-Aliga - she has the backing of Dodd and the California Democratic Party - and Rohnert Park council member Jackie Elward.
Definitive results in the competitive races could take some time as mail-in ballot counting continues.
