As part of KRCB's ongoing coverage for the March 5 primary election, we'll be bringing you interviews with the candidates on your local ballot...particular those in competitive races.

Like the race for the District 2 seat in the California state assembly. That seat has been held by Healdsburg's Jim Wood since 2014. Wood announced in November that he wanted to focus on taking care of his elderly mother. And that he wouldn't run for re-election...opening up the seat to now 6 contenders...one person who appears on the ballot has since dropped out.

Over the next several days, you'll hear from each of the candidates. We asked each the same questions and are providing each equal air time.

First up....KRCB's Marc Albert interviewed Assembly district 2 candidate Mike Greer.
