In local honors, Jasmine Palmer and Brooke Igleheart Ross were recently named Sonoma County Women of the Year by Congressman Mike Thompson.
Thompson praised as "outstanding," their "tireless" work in helping save Athena House. That's the respected residential substance abuse program for women in Santa Rosa. The program had been facing financial oblivion.
