For our Virtual Coronavirus Town Hall May 12, 2020 we will present a cast of leaders in the Latinx community to help us understand how the pandemic may be affecting different populations in our county and region differently. We will be posting the unedited version of their conversation here.
Our guests include:
- Ana Lugo, Founder of Equity First Consulting, a firm dedicated to creating social change through design and implementation of meaningful community engagement, strategy building, leadership development, and program redesign to achieve equity and belonging. Ana helped us organize the panel.
- Dr. Toni Marie Ramirez, a family physician at a local community health center in Santa Rosa, Roseland neighborhood. She graduated from Brown University Medical School and trained in full spectrum family medicine care in Santa Rosa. She is also co-founder of H-PEACE (Health Professionals for Equality And Community Empowerment), a local health care advocacy organization.
- Mara Ventura, Executive Director of North Bay Jobs with Justice, a coalition that brings together more than 40 regional and statewide organizations and labor unions to advocate for policies and lead local grassroots campaigns. For the past 14 years, Mara has served in various organizer and director roles ranging from higher education, to immigrant rights, and union organizing for workers in a variety of industries.
