On Monday, May 4, news director Steve Mencher spoke with Sonoma County Supervisors Lynda Hopkins and David Rabbitt about a number of issues that are top of mind as our elected officials and health officials begin to talk about reopening parts of our economy.

On Sunday May 3, Hopkins had convened a panel of local leaders to talk about these issues and you can find that Facebook Live session here.

Supervisor Hopkins is particularly concerned with county residents who feel that the current parks rules aren't fair. She hears their concerns, and believes that some balance needs to be reached between safety and the ability of all to find recreation in the parks. Both supervisors believe that our economy, which was solid and strong before the pandemic can quickly recover.

View their unedited conversation here, and watch excerpts from the conversation on our Coronavirus Virtual Town Hall on Tuesday May 5 at 7 pm.
