A 16-year-old student was shot just before 9 a.m. near the Ridgway High School Campus at the intersection of Ridgway and Morgan street. According to Santa Rosa Police Captain John Cregan, the victim was shot twice in the upper body by another Ridgway student. The victim is in stable condition at the hospital and is expected to survive. The two teenagers were arguing on the street when one pulled out a gun and shot the other. The suspect put the gun into a backpack which he then gave to an unknown person who left the area.
