bottleWhere did the water in that plastic bottle come from? Was it filtered or treated? And just exactly how pure is it? A new report from The Environmental Working Group watchdog group found that information is rarely provided, and almost never volunteered.

AllentownThis label, from one of the brands cited in the EWG scorecard as most informational,  reveals why other labels may not be as forthcoming.

Ironically, points out Sean Gray, senior analyst with the Environmental Working Group, consumers of tap water are given far more detailed information about that water than is provided by any bottled water producer.
