As pride celebrations around the country got underway this month, several local pride organizations, such as the one in Sacramento have disinvited LGBTQ members of law enforcement from participating in uniform. But not so in San Francisco. In fact, the police there will be wearing a special rainbow decorated uniform patch through the month of June. The project was created by an officer there with proceeds benefiting the Larkin St. LGBT youth homeless shelter.
