He has served as Interim Community and Economic Development Director for the City of East Palo Alto, Interim Community Development Director for the city of Half Moon Bay, and Assistant City Manager and Director of Community Development for the city of Sunnyvale.
Victor2Victor Vasquez is Organizing Manager at SOMOS Mayfair, a community group active in East San José. From their website: "SOMOS Mayfair was founded in 1997 (originally as the Mayfair Improvement Initiative) to address chronic crisis in Mayfair, a working-poor and immigrant neighborhood in East San Jose.  In the early years, SOMOS partnered with government, corporate, and nonprofit allies to renovate community infrastructure, catalyze new community investment, and develop new coalitions. Over the years, SOMOS revamped itself to most effectively operate in line with the needs of the community, and opportunities for regional partnerships evolved. In the past three years, this has led SOMOS to focus our efforts on two long-term community priorities – fostering early school success and nurturing family wellness." Olivia Ortiz from SOMOS also joined the broadcast.
Gloria Bruce is Executive Director at East Bay Housing Organizations, the leading advocacy coalition promoting affordable housing in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. From their website: "She oversees all aspects of organizational development and leads several policy and coalition campaigns. Prior to joining EBHO in 2010, Gloria worked at The San Francisco Foundation, making grants to support affordable housing, safety net services, and neighborhood revitalization. Gloria has 15 years of experience in social justice and community development in her native Washington, D.C. area, Boston, and the Bay Area. She has a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.A. from Harvard University. She serves on the boards of EveryOne Home and the California Reinvestment Coalition. She lives in Oakland with her wife and two young sons."
edgarEdgar Ávila is Program Director of KBBF 89.1 in Santa Rosa, the first bilingual radio station in the U.S. He was a crucial link in communicating with the Latinx community in Sonoma County and adjoining areas during the 2017 fires. 
stephanie manieriStephanie Manieri represents Area 6 on the Santa Rosa City School Board. She is also a program manager at Latino Service Providers of Sonoma County. She served as a bilingual crisis counselor at California HOPE after the 2017 fires, and also was a bilingual sexual assault advocate at Verity. At the time of this broadcast, Stephanie is 23 years old.
